On a beautiful and crisp Sunday in Massachusetts, 31 Nordic skiers took to the roads to compete in the 2022 North Andover Fall Classic roller ski race. Freedom Trail Nordic had nine (9) athletes compete in the October 23 event, which has been held annually since 1989 and may be the longest continuous roller ski race in New England.

Juniors Lillie Salgado and Liam Sakakeeny were the top FTN racers in the Women’s and Men’s 7.5K race, both with impressive 2nd place finishes. Two other juniors competed, including Miles Rakov (7th, Men’s 7.5K) and Oliver Fernandez-Tai (9th, Men’s 15K).
