A fun and competitive Boston-Area Nordic ski club for adults of all ages!
Whether you’re a former collegiate racer or new to Nordic skiing, Freedom Trail Nordic (FTN) offers the opportunity to socialize, train, and race with other Masters who share your love of cross-country skiing!
Our Team
FTN Masters is a group of Boston-Area Nordic skiers who all share a love of skiing and training together. Whether you simply want to join other skiers for an afternoon workout, or plan to compete in New England Masters races, FTN is the inclusive and welcoming community you’ve been looking for!
Our Goals
At FTN, we don’t believe cross-country skiing is just an individual sport. We strive to create opportunities for Masters skiers to train together as a group, race together as a team, and connect with other Nordic skiers who share similar goals and interests.
Our Programs
While the core of FTN’s Masters program is providing both recreational and competitive opportunities for members to ski together, coached Masters programs are also available. Small group clinics and sessions with head coach Rob Bradlee are offered throughout the year, including both dryland and on-snow training.

First-time registrants to FTN’s Masters Club will receive a free high-visibility short-sleeve t-shirt as a welcome gift! Available in a wide range of sizes, this is perfect for helping athletes stay safe while rollerskiing!
Club Benefits, Cost & Registration
The cost to join the FTN Masters team is currently $65 and includes a number of exciting benefits. Annual memberships run for one year from the date of sign-up. NOTE: all Masters Club members MUST have an active NENSA membership to participate.
GROUP WORKOUTS
Whether it’s rollerskiing, dry-land training or on-snow racing, FTN’s member-led group workouts make training more fun!
ONLINE COMMUNITY
The FTN Google Group provides a way for members to connect with one other to organize, train, share tips and exchange or sell equipment.
RACE TEAM
Join FTN Masters and race in the club’s fierce-looking lightening bolt race suits! Available for purchase through team order.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Enjoy potlucks, weekend trips and other fun outings with your fellow members!

WAXING INSTRUCTION
A Toko wax technician, Rob Bradlee provides expert guidance and waxing instruction for even the most difficult New England snow conditions.

Individual Technique Session
Whether on-snow or roller skis, if you need focused support from an experienced coach to help improve your technique, an individual session can help. Your one hour of coached support includes video analysis and 1-on-1 guidance from Rob Bradlee.
